We have provided this answer in wonderful detail in the section How a Second Opinion Works. Please visit that section and then ask your Case Coordinator any remaining questions. We will be excited to answer any of your questions.

During the third step of the second opinion sign-up process, you will be prompted to upload your medical records and image files. Just follow the written instructions provided. If you have any questions or need help, your case coordinator is eagerly available to assist you.

The cost for a virtual second opinion consultation with a specialist through MDVISIT CLINIC is $2,500 USD. This fee covers the physician’s expertise and also includes support services such as translation and interpretation, scheduling assistance from your case coordinator, and administrative support from the physician’s team.

We usually complete your second opinion within one week. After that, your case coordinator will help coordinate a telemedicine meeting with the physician, who will personally review your results with you. Overall, the entire process typically takes about two weeks.

Your Case Coordinator will collaborate with our Medical Director, Dr. Stanley Lau, to review your case details. Once Dr. Lau completely understands your unique condition and needs, he will assign your case to the physician best suited to achieve a highly successful outcome.

If Dr. Lau determines that more information is needed, your Case Coordinator will help you gather it, which may include additional X-rays, MRI images, or a tissue biopsy. This ensures your assigned physician has everything necessary to provide the most accurate diagnosis possible.

It’s possible! Please check the list of locations under About Us > Our World Locations to see if there’s an MDVISIT CLINIC affiliate partner in your country.

MDVISIT CLINIC partners closely with you to help you move forward with your expedited medical visa application process for urgent treatment in the U.S. Our objective is to help you obtain visa approval within 30 days following your U.S. Embassy appointment.

One of the primary requirements is demonstrating financial capability to cover your medical expenses in the U.S., ensuring you will not become a public financial burden. To speed up this step, MDVISIT CLINIC collaborates with escrow departments at reputable institutions, including Morgan Stanley, HSBC, or Escrow.com, to arrange pre-payment for your medical services. Your proof of escrow is then presented to the embassy so that we can address any financial concerns as quickly as possible.

Also, your U.S.-based second opinion consulting physician will provide a formal letter detailing your urgent medical needs, along with the contact information of their hospital or clinic administrator, to respond directly to any questions from the embassy employee.

You will then fully and ultimately control the distribution of funds you paid into escrow according to the terms of the agreement.

Upon visa approval, your case coordinator will connect you with a dedicated luxury medical concierge to guide you through the remaining planning and logistical steps for your care journey.

Yes, we accept insurance from international health insurance companies if we already have an established relationship with them. If not, we can still likely work with your insurer. Speak with your case coordinator, and we’ll do our best to coordinate with your existing insurance provider.
To make a payment for surgery and treatment services in the USA, you will use secure escrow services provided by Morgan Stanley, HSBC, or www.escrow.com, as outlined in the FAQ, “What is required for the U.S. Embassy to approve my Expedited Medical Visa?” Your case coordinator will present a detailed service proposal and pricing for your review. You, and if applicable, your legal representative, will also meet with MDVISIT CLINIC’s in-house counsel, Teresa Farah, to thoroughly review the agreement.
You may cancel and receive a full refund within 24 hours of your initial meeting with your Case Coordinator. To ensure you have time to consider, your Case Coordinator will wait 24 hours before placing your case on the physician’s schedule. After these 24 hours, your second opinion case is officially scheduled, and a refund will no longer be available. To cancel, message us via the Contact Us form, and we’ll call you to complete the cancellation process.
